Man it's good to see Chris hopping on the ole blog train. Interesting piece too. Really like how the horseman has a guard on his helmet, like a kicker in football. Nice touch. :) I'm looking forward to seeing more of Chris' stuff.
The nose guard is there because he's vain, and he doesn't want to get slashed across the face in battle. Other details I liked (if I do say so myself): The wicker backpack, and the wings engraved in his shoulderpads.
I still want to get somebody with a knowledge of real ancient armor to tweak my designs, though.
